You know what ruins an office? Nasty odors like perfume, strong cologne, air fresheners, body odor and peoples disgusting lunches. When a terrible odors comes wafting into your desk, it’s hard to stay focused. Unfortunately this is something lots of people have to deal with everyday. Even if you have a “scent free” work environment, there’s always some cranky bitch that ignores it, and that’s exactly the type of person that nobody wants to confront! So what can you do about it? Well, you can protect your desk with a desktop air purifier. These cool devices will magically destroy all the smell and allergen particles within a small range. If you place a desktop air purifier on your desk, that should help alleviate the odors that can intrude your work place.

February 19, 2010Do you remember your first desk? It was probably your school desk in primary school. What did you have in it? probably some crayons, pencils, erasers your books, some paper. Nothing too personal though, they didn’t have much room. Most teachers are kind of strict though, so it’s not like you’d be allowed to keep a lot there anyways. It would be cool if you could put your GI Joes or action figures there, but whatever. In Highschool you didn’t really get to keep your own desk, you just came to class and sat wherever (next to your friends). There weren’t necessarily assigned positions, at least not in my high school. After that came college. Ahh, the Football games, the dorm rooms, that was the life. Again, you didn’t really have desks there as much as a place to sit in lecture room. These were definitely not good places to personalize. However, most people had a small desk in their dorm room. Not much space there though, especially if you had a room mate. I guess you could dress it up with shit like your school’s sports teams and logos. Let’s be honest, the dorm room isn’t a good place to get work done anyways, that’s waht hte library was for.

February 13, 2010If you’re like me, the best thing about your boring 9-5 office job is your desk. So my soul has been 99% drained, I don’t have my own office, the ass in the cubicle next to me makes sniffling noises all day long and it’s too damn hot. At least my desk is my domain. My desktop is my own private zen garden. People put all kinds of items on their desk. There’s the typical staplers, paper, paper clips and of course post it notes. But then there are the personal touches: Silver Surfer action figures, calendars with hot girls in bikinis, the clay blob your kid made for you in arts and crafts. My point is, a mans desktop says a lot about him. This blog will extol my thoughts on different desktop items and what they mean.
